NCMM and UiO uses IP Telephony, meaning all voice is digitized by your phone and transferred to your destination, over the internet, encrypted.
UiO uses the Polycom brand of IP phones, which are connected to Power over Ethernet switches, which transfer internet and power to the phones. There is one phone per person assigned.
Ordering of new phones is done via Melaku Tadesse, at the point where a new employee has been inserted into the UiO SAP system
