Wessel.uio.no is the general purpose server of the Department of Geosciences. It runs Red Hat 7 (RHEL7) and is continously being upgraded with the newest versions of the software currently residing on Sverdrup (RHEL6).
Some software is now available without having to load them with module. These are:
x2go gcc/g++/gfortran/gdb/libtool jasper subversion/mercurial/git proj gdal evince fftw grads ncl ncview nco qgis paraview texmaker gimp java boost doxygen postgresql sqlite gmt
