TITLE: End-point security with Secure Mobile Platform

ABSTRACT: The main idea behind the Secure Mobile Platform is a solution for secure communication between mobile units though central servers. This solution makes it possible for public bodies like the Police to utilize existing commercial solutions for mobile communication in a secure manner. Secure Mobile Platform is based on an Android platform which is modified according to the US National Security Agency’s (NSA) requirement specification for secure mobile communication, developed by the NSA mobility program. Secure Mobile Platform extends an organization’s intranet to mobile devices in a secure way. The solution counters eavesdropping, theft and tampering while providing ease-of-use and flexibility to end users, developers and administrators.
