Road tolling has been a has been at the forefront of data collection when it comes to tracking vehicles. This talk will give an broad introduction into the basics of road tolling. Putting road tolling it into a historical context and giving an overview of how it will change in the near future. Road tolling can also be as an indicatior of how secuirty and privacy will change as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and the increasing computerization of the car is set to take over the transport sector.

Tord Reistad is Senior Engineer, at the Norwegian Public Road Administration. His main work focuses on security in road tolling (AutoPASS), and he is also involved in European and international standardization the field of road tolling. Tord Reistad has a PhD from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in the field of privacy preserving technologies.

SPEAKER: Tord Ingolf Reistad (Statens vegvesen, Norwegian Public Road Administration)

ABSTRACT: Road tolling has been a has been at the forefront of data collection when it comes to tracking vehicles. This talk will give an broad introduction into the basics of road tolling. Putting road tolling it into a historical context and giving an overview of how it will change in the near future. SPEAKER BIO: Tord Reistad is Senior Engineer, at the Norwegian Public Road Administration.
