Unmanned platforms are transforming the character of war and the composition of armed forces in many NATO nations. We are truly facing a revolution in military affairs (RMA). Civil society is experiencing a corresponding development in which new types of unmanned vehicles and robotics in general are transforming the use of technology in dramatic ways. This development has important implications for national security and the security of society in general. Individuals,  groups and states are empowered and at the same time threatened by these new technologies in ways that are rightfully spurring debate. This talk will discuss some important security and ethical aspects of this development, which no doubt is of great importance to us all.

This talk will discuss some important security and ethical aspects of this development, which no doubt is of great importance to us all.
