This talk gives an overview of research in the field of privacy and identity management. It briefly describes the concepts behind the Privacy-ABC technologies (privacy-enhanced attribute based credentials), the problem they address, then presents a framework for evaluating Privacy-ABC technologies as welll as concrete evaluations for a chosen subset of these technologies. Finally, the talk presents some remaining challenges in this domain. The talk will also briefly present research related to privacy in the cloud, and other projects of interest that the team at Goethe University is involved in.

Fatbardh Veseli has a rich international background, both in the education and work experience. He holds a Master's degree in Information Security and two Bachelor's degrees, one in Computer Science and another in Management. He has worked in the banking industry, as well as in software development companies across Europe. His primary research interests are privacy technologies for identity management, their evaluation and adoption. He currently works at Goethe University Frankfurt within the Chair for Mobile Business and Multilateral Security on research and innovation projects mostly in the domain of privacy and identity management.

SPEAKER: Fatbardh Veseli (Goethe University Frankfurt)

ABSTRACT: This talk gives an overview of research in the field of privacy and identity management. It briefly describes the concepts behind the Privacy-ABC technologies (privacy-enhanced attribute based credentials), the problem they address, then presents a framework for evaluating Privacy-ABC technologies as welll as concrete evaluations for a chosen subset of these technologies.
