TITLE: Cyber Security and Incident Management at Telenor's Security Operations Center

ABSTRACT: Stability and security of online applications is critical for both individuals and businesses, and thereby plays an essential role for our information economy. Awareness about security is also increasing, hacking is no longer only of interest to geeks, but has become a popular topic in the tabloid press.

This talk gives an insight into everyday operations at TSOC (Telenor Security Operations Center) to combat the increasing activity and complexity of cyber criminals. TSOC follows developments in security closely, both in Telenor's own networks and with Telenor customers at home and abroad. Illustrated with examples from real events, the talk also discusses how we can meet future security challenges.

SPEAKER: Frank Stien, TSOC Manager, Telenor

BIO: Frank Stien has been head of TSOC since 2002 and has played a central role in its development. Frank Stien graduated from Glasgow University and has worked with security since 1998. At TSOC he leads one of the most experienced security communities in Europe.
