Section 4G8_s026 with atlas delineations

About

In the CrossSeeds project, our working hypothesis that AD, PD and HD share common pathways of protein aggregation and that cross-seeding of pathogenic pGlu-modified proteins are leading to neurodegeneration. On this page we show examples of pGlu-protein expression sites in rat and mouse models allowing visualization in 3D reference atlas space (Waxholm rat brain atlas and Allen brain mouse atlas). A database in preparation will allow storage of all raw data, retrieval and dissemination of findings to the scientific community.

The virtual microscopy filmstrip viewer allows interactive zooming and panning of images. The Localizoom link allows to visualize the sections together with customized reference atlas overlays. The names of atlas delineations are seen when pointing the mouse over the region of interest and 3D coordinates of the point are displayed live while moving the mouse. These 3D coordinates can also be collected and exported.

Zooming in a specific area is possible using the mouse wheel. Transparency of the atlas is adjustable on the top left corner scale.
