This printer is out of service due to insufficient safety measures and protective equipment.

Hazards
Isopropanol is highly flammable
Both Isopropanol and uncured resin causes allergic reactions
Resin is toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects
This printer and associated equipment uses dangerous chemicals that pose the hazards:
- Isopropanol:
- H225 Highly flammable liquid and vapour
- H319 Causes serious eye irritation
- H336 May cause drowsiness or dizziness
- Resin:
- H315 Causes skin irritation

Operational Safety
- Do not operate the system without proper training, please contact Sonen engineering staff here for training.
- Make sure you have read and understood the safety datasheet of both the isopropanol and resin used in this process.
- Wear the required safety equipment.
- Wash your hands after handling resin or the uncured print.
- Dispose of used gloves, towels and uncured supports in the red flammable trashcan.
- Have a eyewash bottle at hand.
- Know where the fire alarm and extinguisher is.
- Don't swap the resin tank yourself. Contact the Sonen engineering staff here.
Standard Operating Procedure
Prepare your print in Formlabs Preform
Open the vent cap
In order for the Formlabs to properly fill its vat, the vent cap on the resin container must be open.
Start your print
Wear proper safety equipment
Wear the safety equipment depicted above.
Prepare your work area
Lay some paper towels on your work surface, and keep some towels at hand.
Prepare the tools you will need for postprocessing such as pliers and wire cutters.
Remove your print
Remove the buildplate from the printer, let the excess resin drip of the buildplate before removing it from the printer. </br> Remove the print from the buildplate by gently using a spatula. Do this over the paper towels. </br> Replace the buildplate in the printer, close the printer and the vent cap.
Washing
Put your part in the washing station, set washing time and start the procedure. </br> For grey resin the standard wash time is 10 minutes. See here for wash times for different materials.
Wash your hands
It is important that whenever you are done handling the resin and uncured part, you wash your hands. </br> This is to make sure that there is no resin residue on your skin.
Remove supports
It is easier to remove the supports before curing the print.
Curing
Place your part in the curing station. The standard cure time for grey resin is 30 minutes at 60° Celsius
Tidy up after you
Clean the used tools of resin by using isopropanol. Dispose of used gloves, towels and supports in the red flammable trashcan.
Wash your hands
It is important that whenever you are done handling the resin and uncured part, you wash your hands. </br> This is to make sure that there is no resin residue on your skin.
