TITLE: The Security Incident of TITAN at UiO
ABSTRACT: TITAN is a powerful computing cluster composed of 650+ computers having a total of 5000+ cores (CPUs). This high performance computing facility is hosted by USIT at UiO. During 2011 an external attack caused a serious security incident in the TITAN cluster. This talk presents the sequence of events during the attack and how the incident was handled by the USIT security team.
SPEAKER: Margrete Raaum (USIT - UiO)
BIO: Margrete Raaum is currently team leader of UiO-CERT and is also elected member of the steering committe of FIRST (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams). She is employed at the University Center for Information Technology (USIT) and holds Master's degrees from the Department of Informatics at the Universty of Oslo as well as from Gjøvik University College.
