ABSTRACT: What happens in the eID area in Norway? What goes on in the public sector? ID-porten (the ID portal) is established as a common authentication provider and MinID currently has 2.6 million users. This talk gives an overview of MInID, and presents possible future enhancements, such as signatures and message encryption. The talk also includes the current status and potential integration with European eID implementations.
SPEAKER BIO: Jon Ølnes is senior advisor at the National Programme for eID Infrastructure in Public Sector in Difi (Agency for Public Management and eGovernment). His main interest is large-scale, international eID and e-signature interoperability but he also serves as an IT architect for government eID solutions in Norway.
