  • Self certified sick leave → All employees at UiO can take self certified sick leave for them selves or for staying home with sick children.
  • Doctor's sick leave → You are required to visit a doctor and obtain a medical certificate if your sick leave lasts beyond the days for which you are entitled to self-certify.
  • Sick child or child minder → You have right to family care leave.

Mental health

In academia and in life, mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression, are prevalent. If you find yourself at immediate danger, including, but not limited to, self-harm, please seek emergency services. Some help could be provided through the UiO Occupational Health Service Unit.
