Documentation of research

  • Lab books → NCMM uses numbered laboratory journals to document experiments. The books must be signed out and returned to Carlos Rodríguez.
  • Guidelines for use of lab books → NCMM is part of the Medical faculty at UiO and adheres to the faculties guidelines for use of lab journals.
  • Project tracking → It is important to store raw data, document procedures used and handling of data and material in agreement with your group leader.

Data policy

Forskpro

Forskpro is a UiO registry used to obtain an dynamic overview of all ongoing research projects. All medical and health research projects carried out at UiO should be registered there.

For help with Forskpro contact Medical faculty research administration.

Authorship

NCMM aims to follow the ICMJE recommendations, more commonly known as the Vancouver convention, on authorship as closely as possible.

NCMM strongly encourages authors to use the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) in scientific publications to outline the contributions of all authors.

Ethical guidelines

We expect all members of NCMM to be honest in their scientific research and communications, and to work within the scope of the UiO research ethics framework.

Approvals and authorizations

Certain types of research needs approvals and authorization from governmental entities and here are links to those most relevant at NCMM.
